St Joseph's Feast Day 2021

St Joseph was the husband of Mary and the foster father of Jesus. Joseph was a decendant of the royal family of David, but he was not rich. He worked as a carpenter in his home town of Nazareth.
In the Gospel of Matthew, we learn that Joseph had a dream. In the bible, a dream is a special way of receiving a message from God. Through his dream Joseph came to understand what had happened to Mary (that she was going to have God's son), and so he lovingly welcomed her as his wife.
