Mission Day
On Friday, 28th October, we held our annual Mission Day. Our students and staff look forward to this day each year as we gather for Prayer, Reflection and Fun to raise money for Catholic Mission Australia.
This year we welcomed the Port Pirie NET team, Emer, Joe, Flic & Dan who celebrated the day with us. We began with a whole school Liturgy where we reflected on Ethiopia and the works that Catholic Mission are undertaking to support families.
In the middle part of our day, all students participated in a variety of fundraising activities. There was sponge throwing, lucky dips, face painting, guessing how many lollies in the jar and a Pop Stick game of luck. There were also a variety of activities that students could join in for free to ensure that all students were able to get involved and have fun. We had Lego, colouring, 3 Point comp, egg and spoon races, sack races and musical dots.
It was a lovely afternoon spent with great joy shared amongst the students and staff. We raised $474.40 to be donated to Catholic Mission Australia – a fantastic effort for a school of 70 students!
Building Works Begin
On the 4th February the school was abuzz with excitement as the temporary fencing was installed around the building site!
